Getting Started

GEN is your auto-content engine for your socials. Spot trends, write scripts, generate multi-scene AI videos, and publish them. Whether it’s for AI Influencers, Faceless YouTube Videos, Clipping or AI ads, GEN does it all.

MCP/API & Integrations

  1. Download Claude Desktop, install it, and sign in.
  2. Open Claude Desktop’s Settings → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector. Name it GEN, enter https://mcp.gen.pro, then choose Continue. Keep Sign in now and Use Claude’s published identity selected, leave custom headers empty, and choose Add. Open GEN and choose Connect → Continue connecting. Sign in to GEN if prompted, review the permissions, and choose Allow. Let the browser reopen Claude.
  3. To send photos and voice samples to GEN, open Settings → Capabilities (on Team or Enterprise, an owner uses Organization settings → Capabilities). Enable Code execution and file creation and Allow network egress. Under Domain allowlist → Additional allowed domains, add mcp.gen.pro without https:// or a path. Keep any existing domains. Start a new chat, enable GEN under + → Connectors, and attach your files.

  1. Add GEN as a remote MCP server with the command above.
  2. Run /mcp inside Claude Code and sign in to GEN.
  3. Over MCP, tools/list lists the protocol’s tools; gen_discover is GEN’s own tool for exploring what you can do.
  1. Download ChatGPT, install it, and sign in.
  2. Open Settings → Plugins → MCPs → Add → Add MCP server. Name it GEN, choose Streamable HTTP, and enter https://mcp.gen.pro. Leave bearer-token and custom-header fields empty, then choose Save.
  3. Choose Authenticate beside GEN. Sign in to GEN in the browser if prompted, review the permissions, and choose Allow. Wait for Authentication complete and return to the app. Check that GEN is enabled and start a new chat. Confirm that GEN is connected.
  1. Download Grok Bot, install it, and sign in.
  2. Open a chat in Grok Bot and paste the setup prompt below.
  3. Select Authorize on the GEN card. Sign in to GEN in the browser if prompted, review the permissions, and choose Allow. Let the browser reopen Grok Bot. Check that the GEN card says Added and confirm that GEN is connected.

Add remote MCP GEN at https://mcp.gen.pro using OAuth. No API key.
  1. Give the agent https://gen.pro/skill.md: the setup instructions GEN maintains for agents, and the authority for both connection paths below.
  2. An agent with no account registers its own. Send POST https://api.gen.pro/v1/agents/register with a unique handle that begins with agent:. The 201 response creates the user, workspace, agent, and API key together, so store the returned key as the agent’s PAT immediately. Registration does not enable paid media generation.
  3. Creating, renaming, and reading a Vidsheet, and reading your own identity or balance, run on an unfunded account with no paid plan or card; LLM drafts require credits but do not require a subscription. Media generation has separate paid-access and credit requirements. Check gen_discover with domain="billing" and view="generation_access" before generating. With the PAT as Authorization: Bearer <GEN_API_KEY>, call gen_vidsheet_action with {"action":"create","target":{"kind":"vidsheet"},"values":{"name":"My sheet"}}, then {"action":"update","target":{"kind":"vidsheet","id":"<vidsheet_id>"},"values":{"name":"Renamed"}}.   4. An account that already exists connects over OAuth in an MCP client, or over a Personal Access Token (PAT) when the client cannot do OAuth — mint one on the API page the API panel describes. Both authenticate https://mcp.gen.pro: OAuth in the client, or Authorization: Bearer <GEN_API_KEY>.
  1. Sign in to GEN, select your agent, then open https://gen.pro/api.
  2. Choose Create API Key, pick an expiration, then choose Create key. Copy the key and store it privately — it is shown once.
  3. Call the documented endpoint with the key in the X-API-Key header. Fetch the specification with the command below, or read it at https://api.gen.pro/openapi.yaml.
